Login refresh and planning UX improvements

Refreshed the login experience, expanded focus context, and refined task and planning views with calmer defaults and improved quick actions.

  • New login page layout and a calmer hero presentation.
  • Login form validation improvements, clearer states (success/error), and links to Terms and Privacy.

Improvements

  • Dashboard focus allocation now track both To-Do and In Progress tasks for better focus context.
  • Tasks page now defaults to filtering out Done items (and supports a 'none' status filter explicitly).
  • Task board entry point was hidden while list/planned views were refined.
  • Task quick actions interactions were refined across task tables.
  • Updated calendar and project/task pages with additional UX polish.
  • Added due date to the task quick action menu.
  • Added the option to drag and drop taks in the calender view to update the due date.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed task filter-related issues where task status would be set by default on empty boards, causing confusion.

Bulk editing, planned scope, and onboarding polish

Improved task table workflows with bulk edit actions, added planned scope context, introduced a welcome card experience, and added a demo project seeding endpoint for easier onboarding.

  • Bulk edit modal for updating multiple tasks at once (status, type, priority, due date, time estimate, and assignment for team workspaces).
  • New Planned Scope widget in the planned view showing task count and total estimated hours, with a Quick Wins CTA.
  • New Welcome Card onboarding experience.
  • When you create a new account, we’ll automatically create a welcome project with example milestones and tasks to help you quickly learn how to use the app.

Improvements

  • Task tables now support row selection (including select all / clear selection) to enable bulk actions.
  • Task detail page includes a dedicated Mark as done CTA and keyboard shortcut hints (press E to edit).
  • Project, milestone, tasks, and search pages were updated to support the new bulk editing workflow and refreshed task table UX.
  • Added and refreshed UI assets for onboarding.

Refreshed the dashboard layout and focus allocation UI to make it faster to add tasks and easier to understand what needs attention.

  • Quick-add buttons for creating tasks directly into To-Do and In Progress from the dashboard.
  • Focus Allocation now includes per-project To-Do counts and warm progress tooltips for better context.

  • Updated dashboard sections and styling for a calmer, more structured overview.
  • Improved Focus Allocation project rows (badges, hover tooltip, and refined visual hierarchy).
  • Refined table row hover styling for better readability.
  • Create-task modal now supports pre-filling the task status via a URL parameter.
