About Ember
Ember is a calm project management tool built for people who want to focus on finishing work without noise, pressure, or bloat.
Modern work tools often try to do too much. They add notifications, dashboards, comments, and metrics that demand attention before real work even starts.
Ember was created as a response to that.
Built for focus, not urgency
Ember is designed around a simple idea:
You should decide when to work.
Your tools should support you when you do.
That’s why Ember:
- Has no notifications
- Has no inbox
- Has no activity feeds
- Doesn’t track how you behave in the app
Instead, Ember helps you:
- Plan work intentionally
- Choose tasks that fit the time you have
- See progress clearly
- Finish work calmly
Opinionated by design
Ember is intentionally opinionated.
- Workspaces represent a company, client, or team
- Projects live inside workspaces
- Tasks use simple, fixed states
- Collaboration is clear and quiet
- Planning and execution are separate
There are no endless settings to configure and no workflows to maintain.
This keeps work understandable even as it grows.
Free for individuals, fair for teams
Ember is free for personal use.
When you collaborate with others, you pay per seat and the workspace owner is always free. Team plans include a 14-day free trial.
There are no hidden limits, no surprise charges, and no dark patterns.
Privacy-first, by default
Ember is not built on tracking or advertising.
- No behavioral analytics
- No session recording
- No selling user data
- No AI trained on your content
Only anonymous, aggregated metrics are used to operate the service.
Your work stays yours.
Built in the EU, independently
Ember is designed and developed in the European Union by an independent UX designer.
It’s built with a focus on:
- Long-term sustainability
- Respect for users’ time and data
- Clear design decisions
- Calm software that ages well
Ember is meant to be a tool you can trust and keep using.
About the designer
Axente Paul, is an independent UX designer based in the EU.
He’s worked on digital products used by millions of people, including projects for large organizations and established brands. Ember brings that experience into a quieter, more intentional way of building software, focused on clarity, trust, and long-term use.
Work doesn’t need more noise
It needs clarity, focus, and space to breathe.
That’s what Ember is here for.
