Yes. Every account includes **2 free collaborator seats**, permanent, no credit card required. You can invite those 2 people across any of your workspaces at no cost. Teams that need to invite more people pay per additional seat, and every paid plan includes a 14-day free trial.

How is billing handled?
All billing is processed securely through Paddle (paddle.com). Ember does not store your credit card or other payment details on its servers.

How do seats work across multiple workspaces?
Seats are account-level, not workspace-level. If you invite someone to two workspaces, they still use one seat. Your own account never counts toward your seat limit. Free accounts include 2 collaborator seats. Paid seats are purchased once and apply everywhere.

Ember keeps collaboration pull-based. Shared workspaces, clear ownership, and legible status updates keep everyone aligned without endless chatter. Most teams already use communication channels like Slack or similar tools, so conversations and notifications live there, we don’t try to replace them, just provide a lightweight home for the work itself.
